Reading the whole Qur’aan over one Month

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

This Telegram channel was set up with the intention of helping Muslims to keep up their reading of the Qur’aan in this blessed month of Ramadhaan.

There are many rewards for reading the Qur’aan especially in this month of fasting.
Try and complete the whole Qur’aan once over the month.
Try and stop at the end of a complete surah and not in the middle of connected meanings.

The daily reminders will be in the following format - for example:

Day 3 Ramadhaan Qur’aan Reading

Surah Aali Imraan  3:1-200   Mushaf pages 50-76 Total 26 pages

بارك الله فيكم

1439 AH /2018 CE www.quraanteacherresources.blogspot.com
******************************
*****

This means:

Day 3 of Ramadhaan you read

Surah Aali ‘Imraan Surah number 3: aayaat 1 to 200 (which is pages 50 to 76 of the standard copy of the ‘Madeenah Mushaf’ print. The Surah is a total of 26 pages.

Note:

If you fall behind then do not skip the portion – try and catch up and then continue. Do not give up! Do not let shaytaan convince you that because you have fallen behind then it is not worth trying to catch up.

Think of all the hours and minutes we have in the day. A person may spend hours in the day checking WhatsApp messages, emails, social media accounts, surfing the internet, watching useless (never mind haraam) content on YouTube etc. Dedicate at least an hour to reading the Qur’aan a day with a set time. Arrange your life around the Qur’aan and do not try and squeeze the Qur’aan reading into your life. Give it the value and time it deserves and do not let it be an ‘extra activity’ only if you have spare time.

Note that days 1-12 have the same number as the Surah you are reading. One surah per day except for day one.

Days 12-18 you read two whole suwar.

Days 19 onwards you read more than two suwar.

Each day you are almost reading the same as one juz - slightly more or less than 20 pages.

Allaah grant us all sincerity and help us to follow the Sunnah aameen.

10 Tips to focus on completing the Qur'aan this Ramadhaan

1. Make your intention to please Allaah and gain rewards.
Do not aim to show off or compete with others.

2. Make a set time to read your portion.

3. Make Wudhoo.

4. Put your mobile on silent and put it out of reach and sight so it will not distract you!

5. Say أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
Before starting to read.

6. Read the portion for each day focusing your eyes and heart on the words.

7. Read a translation of the meanings of your daily portion so you understand what you are reading.

8. If possible listen to the portion beforehand.

9. If you find it difficult to read then read and follow a slow reciter at the same time.

10. Read or listen to a tafseer explanation of the aayaat. Summarized Ibn Katheer in English.
Imaam Saa'dee's Tafseer in English.
Abu Hakeem's audio Tafseer Lessons.
Moosa Richardson's Tafseer lessons
Abu Humaid's audio Tafseer taken from Shaykh Bin Baz etc.

Allaah grant us and you success!

Shaykh 'AbdurRazaaq's explanation of the Last Two Aayaat of Baqarah

The Last Two Aayaat of Suratul Baqarah

Selected Benefits[1] from the book ‘Fiqh al ‘Ad’iyah wal Adhkaar’ by Shaykh ‘Abdur Razaaq Badr Volumes 3+4 p60-64

Chapter 123 The Virtue of Reading the last 2 Aayaat of Suratul Baqarah every night

{آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۚ كُلٌّ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّن رُّسُلِهِ ۚ وَقَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ (285) لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا اكْتَسَبَتْ ۗ رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِن نَّسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ ۖ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا ۚ أَنتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ (286)}
285. The Messenger (Muhammad http://www.noblequran.com/translation/images/saws.gif) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. They say, "We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers" - and they say, "We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all)."

Narrated Abu Mas'ud Al-Ansari: that the Messenger of Allah () said: "Whoever recites the last two Ayat of Surat Al-Baqarah during the night, they shall suffice him."
English reference: Vol. 5, Book 42, Hadith 2881.               Arabic reference : Book 45, Hadith 3123[2]

The two aayaat consist of the believers’ faith in Allaah and their being under His obedience and His worship. It also covers them acknowledging Allaah’s Lordship Ruboobiyyah and their need for His Forgiveness. It is their acknowledgement of their shortcomings regarding His Rights and their returning back to Him. It reminds them that they will be recompensed for their deeds. It is a du’aa to Allaah and their asking for pardon, forgiveness, mercy and help against their enemies. It is without doubt noble meanings indicating their complete faith, complete acceptance and their truthful submission to Allaah the Lord of the worlds.

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim رحمه الله  said in his book al Waabil as Sayyib (p156) that كفتاه means sufficed from evil that harms him and it is said it suffices him from Qiyaamul layl….

Aboo Dharr رضي الله عنه said that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “I was given the ending of Suratul Baqarah from a treasure beneath the throne.” Musnad Ahmad 5/180. Saheeh al Jaami’ Al Albaanee 1060.

Shaykhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said, “…know that Allaah, the One who is removed from every deficiency, gave His Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم  the ending of Suratul Baqarah from a treasure beneath the throne. No other Prophet before him was given it. Whoever reflects upon these aayaat and understands what they contain of the realities of the religion, and the five principles of faith and the refutation of every liar and that they contain Allaah’s complete blessings upon this Prophet, his Ummah and Allaah’s love for them and Allaah preferring them over others, let him rejoice in knowledge.”  Majmoo Fataawa 14/129

Dots are very important as they can change the letter and the meaning completely.
A stick on its own without the dots could be a ta/ba/noon/tha or ya!
